Position Overview:
The Princeton Posse Junior Hockey Club is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable individual to serve as Head Coach & General Manager for our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our team’s on-ice performance, player advancement, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of the hockey team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for player development, team performance, and recruitment.
- Provide leadership and direction to coaching staff, players, and support staff.
- Design and execute effective training programs to enhance players’ skills, fitness, and teamwork.
- Scout and recruit talented players to build a competitive and citizenship driven roster.
- Manage team budgets, travel arrangements, and equipment procurement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes competitive sportsmanship, discipline, and respect for all.
- Represent the Princeton Posse in league meetings, community events, and media engagements.
- Ensure compliance with league regulations, safety protocols, and organizational policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coaching experience in junior or collegiate hockey.
- High Performance 1 level, Hockey Canada coaching certification.
- Proven track record of success in player development as well as team recruitment and management.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive knowledge of modern & technical hockey strategy, tactics, and training methods including video analysis and analytics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
