Hired – Mark Readman, New Head Coach and Assistant GM

The Princeton Posse Junior Hockey Club are pleased to announce the addition of Mark Readman as the new Head Coach and Assistant General Manager of the club as part of a significant restructuring of hockey operations staff.  Previous Head Coach, Mark McNaughton will continue steering the Posse’s hockey operations as General Manager while the addition of Readman in the Head Coach role will provide focus to the day-to-day development of the team.

“We are so fortunate to welcome Coach Readman to our organization” said Mark McNaughton, Posse General Manager.  “As a group, we felt there was an opportunity to further our program by bringing in a strong up and coming coach.  He is a professional in his approach and will provide our players with a consistent, competitive message that will help them develop and ultimately lead to team success on and off the ice.”

Readman, a Dawson Creek B.C. native who climbed the coaching ranks quickly through Dawson Creek Minor Hockey, North East B.C. and Yukon Trackers, and the Dawson Creek Jr Canucks; joins the Posse following a trying (COVID-19) but ultimately growth positive year as the Associate Coach and Assistant General Manager of the KIJHL’s Creston Valley Thunder Cats.  “I have been fortunate to have worked with numerous strong hockey minds and even better people that have shaped me into the coach I am today. I can’t thank the Creston Valley Thunder Cats enough for the opportunity last season and for allowing me to pursue this opportunity in Princeton.” Said new Head Coach Mark Readman

Readman will begin preparing immediately for the upcoming KIJHL season and to make an impact on the Posse organization and players.  “I look forward to bringing a fast paced, well structured, and hardworking attitude to the Princeton Posse. I pride myself on creating a competitive environment that pushes players to their best every day, giving players tools to be successful not only on the ice, but in their everyday lives as well.” Said Mark Readman “The culture that the Posse organization and Mark McNaughton have established is one that is built for success and I am looking forward to adding to it and helping bring a championship to Princeton.”
