Garcha signs with NCDC’s Grizzlies

Anmol Garcha of the Princeton Posse has signed with the Rock Springs Grizzlies of the USPHL’s National Collegiate Development Conference.

Garcha, 20, was third on the Posse with 35 points in 30 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League games. He added 20 points in 22 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games, as he helped the Posse reach the KIJHL Teck Cup Final. In two seasons with the Posse, Garcha produced 28 goals, 49 assists for 77 points.

This past season, the Sherwood Park, Alberta product improved his skating and grew his confidence with the puck. Garcha credits his time with the Posse with helping him deal with the adversity of injuries from the past two seasons. Garcha praised the work that Head Coach-GM Mark Readman puts in with the players.

“Getting my confidence back was key,” said Garcha, who is looking forward to playing in the  highly skilled NCDC.

Readman said Garcha has been a massive piece to their team since the day he stepped foot in Princeton.

“He easily has enough talent to play at a higher level, which people in our league saw on a nightly basis,” said Readman. “We are beyond thrilled to see him get this opportunity in Rock Springs. Anmol not only became a better hockey player in his time here, he developed into a leader for this group on a daily basis. His impact will be felt here for years to come.”
