KIJHL Power Rankings – Week 4 (Oct.16)

 

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its four week of regular season action for the 2022-23 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide after.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies remain at the top of the Power Rankings. They have yet to lose in regulation time, but were handed their first defeat by the 100 Mile House Wranglers in a shootout. The Grizzlies bounced back to defeat the Wranglers 3-0 in their two-game set on the road. Brandon Gallo, named the Top Defenceman this week, led the Grizzlies with four points.
The Kimberley Dynamiters climbed from fourth to second in the rankings with a pair of wins against the Columbia Valley Rockies and Kamloops Storm. Ty McRuvie led the Dynamiters with four points in two games.
The Columbia Valley Rockies maintained their third spot winning two of their three games. They picked up victories against Fernie and Castlegar. Keenan Ingram led the Rockies with four points.
The Princeton Posse bumped up to four from fifth spot after a pair of wins against Kelowna in their home-and-home series. Sean Mitchell led the Posse with five points, including four goals.
The Summerland Steam cracked the rankings after playing a pair of games that went to overtime. They lost to Creston Valley, then defeated Kelowna. Austin Cameron led the Steam with four points.
